This Sideswipe vs Decepticon Fight Was Cut from Transformers 2. Revenge of the Fallen started out with a bang. It featured amazing action sequences with Autobots who made their onscreen debut. 1 of which included the cutting edge Autobot Sideswipe. Who stayed true to his name by slicing the Decepticon Sideways in two. But apparently this fight was supposed to be longer. Due to licensing issues with Audi and the writers' strike, Sideways's role was dramatically altered and he was nearly taken out of the script entirely. Originally, he was gonna escape the first wave of his Autobot pursuers by using Demolishor as a distraction. After Demolishor's death, Sideways would have been cornered and engaged by Sideswipe in robot mode. At this point, it would have been Sideways, not Demolishor, who would have dropped The Fallen's name when he threatened Sideswipe during the fight. By time Audi changed their mind the scene was altered.
