1912 Lakeside U-S Banner Phonograph Plays "Everything's At Home Except Your Wife" on Edison Cylinder

Описание к видео 1912 Lakeside U-S Banner Phonograph Plays "Everything's At Home Except Your Wife" on Edison Cylinder

On this snowy wintery day I thought it would be fun to post a video featuring a very uncommon Lakeside U-S Banner phonograph from my collection playing "Everything's At Home Except Your Wife" by Walter Van Brunt on Edison Blue Amberol cylinder #1621. Roughly 90% of surviving U-S Phonographs with the dual (2 and 4 minute reproducer assembly) as seen here in the video have reproducers that have swollen, cracked and crumbled into pieces from being made of pot metal. Pot metal was inexpensive and easy to cast but the metals comprising it tend to swell and crack over time rendering a misshapen, crumbling, virtually useless part. I'm always interested in finding U-S Phonographs, U-S parts phonographs and U-S reproducers and even speaking with those who have U-S phonographs so please feel free to give me a shout if you have anything to sell or trade or want to talk. As always, I thank you for stopping in for a visit and hope that you will enjoy the video.
