Tarptent Scarp 1 Tent Review - so nearly the PERFECT backpacking tent!

Описание к видео Tarptent Scarp 1 Tent Review - so nearly the PERFECT backpacking tent!

Here is my full tent review of the awesome TarpTent Scarp 1 tent. The tarptent scarp 1 is a true solo backpacking tent. It's a lightweight tent but also a 4 season tent too. I love the tarp tent scarp 1 design. It has 2 doors and 2 vestibules but remains a 1 person tent. It's packed full of features and I absolutely love the design.

However, it's not perfect. Being ultralight means it uses thinner and less water resistant fabrics and small fixings. In turn this leads to some quality issues which I have experience. However, I love the tarptent scarp 1 and it's a keeper!

Here is what they say:

Updated for 2022, the patented Scarp 1 is a weather-proof pod designed with low fly edges, double walls, and a generous living space. The Scarp 1 features a robust 9mm arch pole and a dramatically large, extra wide interior that can sleep two. The optional crossing poles give the Scarp 1 even more muscle to stand against harsh weather conditions, making it our strongest Tarptent. Whether you’re pitching the Scarp 1 on Mt. Rainier or biking across the Scottish Highlands, you’ll sleep warm, dry, and secure.

Made with 30D double ripstop 100% silicone coated nylon 66 rated to over 3,000mm hydrostatic head for excellent strength and durability, fly and floor
Premium materials and components: USA made Easton® arch poles and stakes, YKK zippers, carbon fiber struts, Spectra® cording
Extra wide interior fits wide sleeping pads up to 32 in / 81cm wide, can even sleep 2 in a pinch
Double wall design separates you from condensation, and available with mesh your solid interior to suit your conditions
Fly and interior can both be set up independently, interior easily detaches
Optional crossing poles provides additional support for high wind and snow loads and fully freestanding set-up
Catenary cut curves for taught stable pitching, and numerous additional guy-line loops (fly edges, along arch, and mid-panel)
Dual doors and vestibules allow for easy entry and exit as well as extra gear storage space
Large and adjustable high and low venting options help minimize condensation while providing full storm protection when needed
Easy and fast 6 stake pitch, can be pitched in under 2 minutes
Pitches fly first to keep the interior dry when setting up or taking down in the rain, and protected entry/exit keeps the interior dry when entering/exiting during rain
Integrated interior pockets and clips for gear organization and storage
Quickly adjustable interior position gives either additional interior or vestibule space as needed

Note: Interiors (mesh or solid) are interchangeable and clip in and out from underneath the fly. You may order either interior at a later date, or the “Both” option means that are ordering the fly and two interiors. The solid interior (2/3 solid, 1/3 mesh door walls and a solid roof) blocks horizontal blowing wind, sand, snow, and rain.
