Alicia Lawrence is the Information and Resource Services Manager at NORD, where she leads efforts to provide high-quality information and resources to the rare disease community. With over 20 years of experience in social work, Alicia has worked in hospitals and community-based agencies, supporting patients and families as they navigate complex diagnoses and care challenges. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Allied Health Studies with a concentration in Child and Adolescent Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Fordham University. Alicia is deeply committed to advocacy for fragile populations, focusing on physical and mental health equity and social justice. Her expertise enables her to assist patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers in understanding rare diseases and accessing critical resources.
