The music in this video came from a recording made, in 1969, by the Westview Centennial Secondary School Concert Band (Toronto, Ontario.) The musical director was Michael J. Crosbie.

The Westview Centennial Concert Band was formed in September of 1967, shortly after the school opened. The Band made rapid progress during its first year and in the current year has performed in Hamilton, Ontario; New York City; Sussex, New Brunswick and several cities and towns in Nova Scotia. While on tour of the Maritime Provinces the Band presented two concerts on CJCB T.V. in Sydney, Nova Scotia.

Membership in the Band is available to any student in the school although the Band is comprised largely of students registered in the Music Option. The Technical Student's Band was formed in September, 1968. Membership in this group is drawn from students enrolled in the Science, Technology and Trades Courses.

The Junior Section of the Centennial Band is open to students in grades nine and ten and in February 1969, the Band won an award at the Toronto Kiwanis Music Festival.

The music featured on this record was performed by the Band during its Nova Scotia Tour and displays the Band's increasing versatility in various types of traditional and contemporary music.
