The crack based on v1.01 didnt work for me, neither did image emulation with the official patch. I also passed level 8 with this method, online there seem to be an issue with cracked versions and that level. (https://www.myabandonware.com/game/ka...)

What worked was unpatched and mount to physical drive image emulation, an option only an insane person would use. The game dont seem to like multiple optical drives and/or will only accept mounting to the D drive. I could change stuff around, but why do that when you can use a more or less legacy option provided in Daemon Tools...

Keep in mind that this requires a SATA or IDE connected drive, it wont work with USB ones...
