Every fall semester, Florida State University participates in the recognition of postdoctoral scholars in conjunction with the National Postdoctoral Association's celebration of Postdoctoral Appreciation Week the third week in September. A highlight of the week is the 5 Minute Research (5MR) Competition where postdoctoral scholars communicate their postdoctoral research in any style of their choosing.

Jacob Caldwell is a postdoctoral scholar in the Department of Biomedical Sciences. His presentation is titled A Look at the Impact of Exercise Training on Cardiac Function in Adiponectin Knockout Mice.
