Bhagawad Geeta Saar -Chapter 1 verse 3,4,5,6 with narration by Harsh Verma.
---
Hello friends, 🙏
In this video, we will do an in-depth analysis of verses 3, 4, 5, and 6 of the first chapter of Bhagavad Gita. These verses describe the conversation between Duryodhana and Guru Dronacharya on the battlefield of Mahabharata. Let's understand this important moment of Mahabharata in more depth through these verses.
Verse 3:
"पष्यतां पाण्डुपतर्णामचर्य माठीं चमुं.
व्यधंद्रूदंद्रुपतरेन तव शिवाश्चेण धीमता।
In this verse, Duryodhana points out to his Guru Dronacharya the powerful army of the Pandavas, which is organized by his own disciple Dhrishtadyumna. This verse shows the irony where the teachings given by the Guru are now being used against him.
Verse 3 (Translation):
"O Teacher, behold this mighty army of the sons of Pandu, arranged in battle formation by your wise disciple, the son of Drupada."
,
Verse 4:
“Atra Shura Maheshvasa Bhimarjunsama Yudhi.
Yuyudhano viratascha drupadascha maharathah.”
This verse mentions the presence of great warriors like Duryodhana, Bhima and Arjuna in the army of the Pandavas. This verse tells us that Duryodhana is well aware of the challenge ahead.
Verse 4 (Translation):
"Here in this army are many heroic bowmen equal in fighting to Bhima and Arjuna; there are also great fighters like Yuyudhana, Virata, and Drupada."
,
Verse 5:
“Dhrishtaketushchekitanah Kashirajascha Veeryaavan.
Purujitkuntibhojascha shaibyascha narapungavah.”
Duryodhana lists the names of other warriors in this verse, such as Dhrishtaketu, Chekitana, the brave king of Kashi, Purujit, Kuntibhoja and Shaibya. All of them are great warriors who are ready to play their part in the war.
Verse 5 (Translation):
"There are also great heroic, powerful fighters like Dhrishtaketu, Chekitana, the valiant king of Kashi, Purujit, Kuntibhoja, and Shaibya."
,
Verse 6:
“Yudhamanyuscha vikrant uttamaujascha viryaavan.
Saubhadro Draupadeyascha Sarva and Maharatha.
Finally, Duryodhana names Yudhamanyu, Uttamauja, Abhimanyu, and the sons of Draupadi. All of them are called Maharathis, who play a key role in the war.
*Shloka 6 (Translation):*
"There are also the heroic Yudhamanyu, the valiant Uttamauja, the son of Subhadra (Abhimanyu), and the sons of Draupadi. All these warriors are great chariot-fighters."

Through these shlokas, we see Duryodhana informing his guru about the Pandava army and their great warriors. In this video I have explained the importance of these shlokas and their deeper meaning in simple language.
