Spark Change: Sadie's Journey with Epilepsy

Join Sadie as she shares her inspiring journey with epilepsy. Diagnosed at the age of 15, Sadie faced numerous challenges, including frequent seizures and brain surgery. Despite these obstacles, she has emerged stronger and more determined to make a difference.

After high school, Sadie pursued Disability Studies at the University of Calgary, aiming to become an occupational therapist specializing in pediatric brain injuries. Her personal journey has fostered a strong sense of empathy and a clear purpose in helping others.

Sadie has been actively volunteering with the Epilepsy Association of Calgary as a Peer2Peer mentor, using her experience to support individuals with epilepsy. Through this role, she offers valuable support and understanding, bridging the gap for those facing the isolation and stigma often associated with epilepsy.
