'Chatnipudi' is a powder, that can be a best combination with rice, dosa, chapathi/roti or idli. Method and ingredients of preparation of this dish may differ according to the areas. This is a south Karnataka /Kasaragod style chatnipudi' by using grated dry coconuts. Grated copras are fried to give nice aroma to the dish and masala(chillies for spice/ dhaina and gram dal), jaggery&tamarind are added to get nice taste. Either curry leaves or garlic cloves can be added to get a nice flavour.

Ingredients

Copras 2
Coconut oil 4sp
Gram dal 1/2cup
Badgi chillies 12
Spicy chillies 12
Dhaniya 1cup
Curry leaves 2fists
Tamarind
Salt to taste
Jaggery 2 small pieces
