In the Aftermath of 9/11: The Long Road Home

Описание к видео In the Aftermath of 9/11: The Long Road Home

On September 2, 2001, I and several other friends set out on a 12-day photography adventure to a remote campsite, over twenty miles deep into the wilderness of Yosemite National Park. It was a two-day hike in.

The scenery, and experiences, were incredible.

Our last morning, before beginning the hike out, was Tuesday, September 11. It was a calm, beautiful morning, oddly with no contrails in the sky.

We were oblivious to the tragedies unfolding across the continent that morning.

On Thursday, September 13, we re-entered a world that had profoundly changed.

Unable to use my plane ticket to return home to Texas, I procured one of the last rental cars on the west coast and drove half way across the country in just two days.

I did not shoot much video on the drive, but the majority of what I did shoot follows. This was my long road home in the aftermath of 9/11.

Note - footage captured in DV format.
