According to Game of Thrones, the love between Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark was so powerful it literally undid the royal family of Westeros. However, much of the content and character development in George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire seems to contradict the notion that Lyanna and Rhaegar's story is a romantic one. So were Lyanna and Rhaegar madly in love, or was it something else?
