Breastfeeding Circle: Free Support and Advice for New Moms

Renown Health offers new moms one-on-one lactation services and there is also a free breastfeeding circle. It is a drop-in situation for mom and baby. You can weight your newborn to make sure your baby is getting enough milk. There is a lactation consultant there to answer questions and clear up any myths and help with the process. And there are lots of new moms to share experiences. "The number one concern of moms that we meet would be pain with feeding followed by low milk supply," says Lactation Liaison, Sarah Ortega. "If a new mom is struggling with breastfeeding my number one tip is to get help as soon as possible in a one-on-one consultation. If she really is just feeling that things are okay and she just needs the support around her to give her that confidence than our breastfeeding circles are perfect for that."
