This was my final run as a New Jersey Transit bus operator.

In this POV drive, we travel east on Route 495, pass through the Lincoln Tunnel, and climb the spiral ramp into the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Midtown Manhattan. For years, this corridor was part of my daily routine — navigating heavy traffic, tight lanes, and one of the busiest bus terminals in the world.

Route 495 and the Lincoln Tunnel form one of the most critical commuter arteries between New Jersey and New York City. Every weekday, thousands of NJ Transit buses make this same journey into Manhattan, funneling into the Port Authority Bus Terminal — the largest bus terminal in the United States.

On this day, it wasn’t just another commute. It was my last.
