How Option Assignment ACTUALLY Works (NOT What You Think!)

There is a very common misconception about how assignment works for options traders. For example, when the buyer of an option decides to exercise it, does this mean the option seller will get assigned? Most would think so, but as you will see in this video, that is not true! Additionally, just because a short option expires in the money does not necessarily mean that the seller will be assigned either. So whether you trade credit spreads, debit spreads, iron condors, covered calls, cash-secured puts, the wheel strategy, short strangles, or really any options trading strategy, this video is VERY important for you to watch!
