Sandesh Tharpude - A youngster from Solanpada Village in Karjat , believes that Shanthi Chauhan has helped him and his co-students to achieve their dreams of education and employment . She has ensured that the village has a school for youngsters where all kids are given education. The youngsters are employed in the village as she has created jobs for them, as caretakers, Farm help, accounting and learning the trade of the farm.
Because of her efforts more than 1.5 lakh trees have been planted in and around Solanpada village.
Tourism is under control as she & her husband fought for getting sec 144 into place and now the tourists can visit a beautiful and clean Solanpada with strict rules.
Shanthi (didi) as everyone fondly calls her treats everyone like her family. There are no strangers here. She connected us in this remote village to the world with her warmth and kind heart.
