Making a Hunting knife from an Old File

Описание к видео Making a Hunting knife from an Old File

And another one !
I made a simple knife from a file again, and i absolutely love how it turned out (which is rare !!). The way i did the mirror polish worked much better than any other time, because i tried new techniques.
After the bevel grind, I switched from the belt grinder to a variable speed angle grinder with higher and higher grits, and then polishing compound. MUCH more efficient and way better result !
I like making knives from files because the heat treatment is very simple, and it’s easy to maintain a high rockwell hardness. It is absolutely razor sharp as you can see !
The handle is blue stabilized wood (i should know the name, but i don’t) with brass pins.
