Tuning the Megasquirt (Pt 8.) - Electronic Boost Control

We had previously dived into Manual Boost Control which is an easy way to up your boost and avoid boost sag (   • Control Boost for Cheap - DIY Manual ...  ), but now we'll get into the wonders and flexibility of Electronic Boost Control (EBC). In this episode we will explain everything you need to know and how to install it in the car and test it using TunerStudio before you even start the engine.

I bought this separately to save a little money (my price was $40 total) but there are also some kits available for about $15 - 20 more.

You might also need some 22gauge AWG wire (the solenoid comes with about a foot). I made mine plug and play by crimping some small spade connectors to the ends to plug into the stock MAF harness as shown in the video. On a 1990 - 2005 Miata this is super easy but basically you need to get one wire to +12V and the other back to your Boost control output pin in your Megasquirt or other ECU.
