This is a video on the Poole Old lifting bridge, I believe known as Poole Town Bridge. It opened in 1927 so technology nearly a hundred years old, with regular overhauls it appears to be in good working order with few breakdowns. Unlike the multi million pound new modern technology bridge, which seems to need constant attention and still breaks down or needs work doing every few months.
