🦁 Manuschka is a brave lioness rescued from a German circus. Manuschka’s circus owner pledged to stop using big cats in its shows and decided to hand Manuschka over to FOUR PAWS - voluntarily.

She experienced the love and care from caretakers first at TIERART Wild Animal Sanctuary in Germany 🇩🇪 and then on a rainy October morning 🌧️ she was transported to her species-appropriate home at FELIDA Big Cat Sanctuary in the Netherlands 🇳🇱.

Manuschka is now breathing in the fresh Dutch air 🌬️, surrounded by other lions 🦁 in the new surrounding enclosures. Manuschka’s journey is a reminder of resilience, hope, and a positive change. ✨

Even though many countries recognised the cruelty of using wild animals for entertainment, it remains legal in countries like Germany. Having rescued more than 20 circus animals in the past ten years, FOUR PAWS urges governments worldwide to ban wild animals in circuses. 🚫🎪
