샬롬! 오늘은 비콜드팀이 7월에 미국선교 중, 방문했던 브루클린도시에 Terbernacle교회에서 받았던 은혜를 함께 나누려고 합니다.
미국선교 중, 겹치는 한번의 주일을 어디서 예배할지 고민중, 브루클린 지역의 Terbernacle교회를 방문하게 되었습니다. 화려한 조명과 오페라홀과 같은 교회의 외형이 빛이 났지만, 정말 놀라웠던 것은 그러한 외형이 눈에 들어오지 않을 정도로 뜨거운 예배의 현장이었습니다. 찬양과 기도선포, 설교까지 차가워져 가고 있는 미국교회라고 하기엔 너무나 생생하고 뜨거운 현장이었습니다.
더 깊은 예배에 빠져, 손을 들고 찬양하던 그 순간, 갑자기 Terbernacle교회의 담임목사님께서 찬양을 멈추시고 이 교회를 방문한 모든 한국인들은 강대상 위로 올라오라고 말씀하셨고, 그 교회에 이례적으로 한번도 없었던 일이 일어났습니다.

강대상에서 손을 들고 함께 찬양하고 특별히 우리를 축복하는 시간을 가져주셨는데, 끝나고 현지교회에 참여하신 한국인 분들의 얘기를 들어보니, 교회설립 이후 이 강대상에 외부교인을 올려서 축복한 일이 처음이었다며, 놀랍다고 간증해주셨습니다.

장시간 비행과, 삐걱거리는 선교일정에 지친 우리들을 하나님께서 친히 축복해주시고 위로해주심을 느끼는 시간이었습니다. 먼 땅 미국까지 우리를 부르시고 위로해주신 주님께 모든 영광과 감사 올려드립니다.

미국 땅에서 뜨겁게 예배하고 있는 예배자들과 Terbernacle교회 모두 주님의 이름으로 축복합니다!

Today, we’d like to share the grace we experienced during our visit to the Brooklyn Tabernacle Church in Brooklyn, New York, as part of the B.Called team’s mission trip to the U.S. this past July.

While planning where to worship on the one Sunday we had during the mission trip, we decided to visit Brooklyn Tabernacle. The church’s grand exterior, reminiscent of an opera hall with dazzling lights, was impressive, but what truly amazed us was the worship itself—so vibrant and powerful that the building’s appearance faded into the background. From praise and prayer to the sermon, it was a living, breathing, and fiery testament of faith—far from the narrative of “cold and declining” churches often associated with America today.

Deeply immersed in worship, with our hands lifted high in praise, we suddenly heard the lead pastor pause the service. To our surprise, he invited all the Korean visitors to come up to the platform. What followed was something unprecedented in the history of the church.

Standing together on the platform, we raised our hands in worship and received a special prayer of blessing from the pastor. After the service, some Korean attendees who were part of the local congregation shared their astonishment, saying this was the first time in the church’s history that outside visitors had been called to the platform for a blessing.

In that moment, we felt God Himself personally pouring out His blessings and comfort on our weary hearts, worn from long flights and a challenging mission schedule. It was a time of profound encouragement and renewal.

All glory and thanks be to the Lord, who called us to this far-off land of America to meet Him and experience His love so vividly.

We also extend our blessings in the name of the Lord to all the worshipers and the Brooklyn Tabernacle Church, who continue to lift up passionate worship on this soil.
