One of the most commercially successful acts of the British Invasion, the Sixties rock band released seventeen top 40 hits in the US between 1964 and 1967, and were briefly considered serious rivals to The Beatles. The Dave Clark 5 disbanded in early 1970. In 2008, they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

The Dave Clark Five classic lineup is Dave Clark – drums, backing and occasional lead vocals; Mike Smith – lead vocals, keyboards; Lenny Davidson – lead and rhythm guitars, backing vocals; Rick Huxley – bass guitar, rhythm guitar, backing vocals; and Denis Payton - saxophones, backing vocals.
