USDM 2.5 Liter oil and filter replacement

OIL SPECIFICATIONS
2.5 L Skyactiv G WITH oil filter change- 4.8 quarts/ 4.5 Liters of Synthetic oil

2.5 L Skyactiv G WITHOUT oil filter change- 4.5 quarts/ 4.3 Liters of Synthetic oil

2.0 L Skyactiv G WITH oil filter change- 4.4 quarts/ 4.2 Liters of Synthetic oil

2.0 L Skyactiv G WITHOUT oil filter change- 4.2 quarts/ 4.0 Liters of Synthetic oil


OIL FILTER
Clean the mounting point with a clean towel
Always lube the rubber gasket and hand tighten or torque to 12-14ft-lbs

Part numbers:
Original when bought Oil Filter – PE01-14 302B
I used PE01-14-302AMV
Mazda recommended filters:

DRAIN PLUG and WASHER
Always use a new crush washer
P/N 99564-1400 for a set of 5
Torque drain plug to 22-30 ft/lbs
No torque wrench? Turn wrench until tight and check for leaks every so often. Or check oil levels every so often to make sure oil levels are proper. Low oil levels can lead to engine failure

Jack
Jackstands
Oil Pan
Panel cover screws- 8mm sockets or Phillips screw
Drain plug - 17mm socket
Spring loaded oil filter remover-
