Here is the first way I would look at approaching triads on the fretboard so that you can visualize the idea of chords being able to have multiple forms (inversions) up and down the neck. In this video, I only covered how to find inversions of these triads in a "vertical approach" on adjacent string sets. There is much more to this topic as this just scratches the surface of the possibilities triads can have on your understanding of unlocking the geometry of the fretboard.
