SPRINGFIELD - A school assignment earned the entire first grade from one Springfield elementary school a trip to a Branson attraction.

Emma Lowe's first grade class at Sequiota Elementary was given an assignment to write a persuasive letter to someone or a business.

Emma chose to write to Fritz's Adventure asking if her class could go to the Branson attraction for free. To her surprise and her mother's, the entire first grade class was invited.

"I thought, gosh she's going to be disappointed because she's either never going to get a response or the response would be no, so we were really, really surprised," Abby Lowe, Emma's mother said.

The class took their trip today and according to Emma, everyone had fun.
