Russia claims to have shot down five of the six US long-range missiles fired by Ukraine at a military facility in Bryansk. When the Russia - Ukraine war marked its 1000th day, President Putin had revised Russia's nuclear doctrine. The updated doctrine asserts that any attack by a non-nuclear state, supported by a nuclear-armed nation, will be viewed as a joint attack. The war situation is intensifying as Ukraine recently used US ATACMS missiles to strike Russian territory, with approval from the Biden administration. In retaliation, Russia launched a hypersonic missile at the Ukrainian city of Dnipro. The recent attacks also indicate both the countries are escalating the tensions before Trump 2.0.
