VETEMENTS - Total F-king Darkness Bomber

Creative director during this season, Demna Gvasalia takes inspiration from Maison Margiela and Raf Simons for this reiteration of the iconic MA-1 Bomber, which has a very unique silhouette.

Referencing the band “Cradle Of The Filth” for its embroidering This MA-1 bomber jacket from the Vetements A/W 2017 collection is a homage to the 2001 “riot riot riot” Raf Simons riot bomber. similarities being Bands being referenced as designs on the MA-1 jacket and the oversized silhouette.

The oversized silhouette seen throughout Demna Gvasalia’s designs is a inspiration from his upbringing in the soviet union often getting hand me downs for clothes.
