I was back in the Harz Mountains for Easter Monday on a beautiful spring day. The ride was from Berlin to the Harz Mountains and back on the same day. This time I was riding with my buddy Diego. The last time I did this tour was in August 2018 where I had an unfortunate encouter with the police for speeding and I was suprised not to see any police at all this time.

We started with the well known 36 Kyffhäuser corners and the Kyffhäuser memorial (technically this is the Kyffhäuser Mountain range and not the Harz Mountains). It seems there are people that just go up and down this stretch of road for the entire day to enjoy the tight corners.

The tour took us through the entire Harz Mountains including the Lower Harz (Südharz) and Upper Harz (Oberharz) [parts are called the High Harz (Oberharz)] - this day ride includes most of the top motorcycle roads in this region.

The castle in the video is the Wernigerode Castle (Schloss Wernigerode). The present-day building, finished in the late 19th century, is similar in style to Schloss Neuschwanstein, though its foundations are much older.
