Science of Cocktails is an annual event that brings out the best bartenders and chefs in Vancouver to show the science behind modern cocktails.

6. Mix and Mingle with the Finest
People from all over the Lower Mainland put on their best Sunday outfits and come down the Science World. It's a great place to meet people and see and be seen.

5. Get Up Front and Personal with Award-Winning Bartenders
Bartenders are known for being great hosts (and therapists but you won't have time for that with 31 bars to see). Watch them in action as they create innovative and unique cocktails you've never tried and explain the process.

4. Try To Be A Bartender
Not all of us are cut out to work behind the bar, but for one night only, you get to try your hand and shaking and pouring without the pressures of angry customers. Free-pour, identify aromas and create origami shot glass stations.

3. Get Educated
If science involved cocktails in high school, we would have paid way more attention. Take a trip back to relearn chemistry, biology and physics like you’ve never learned before with the mixology of modern cocktails. We especially enjoyed the Negroni Robot.

2. 31 Bars and 13 Food Stations
If you’re not stumbling on your way out, you didn’t do it right (but make sure you don’t drive). There are 31 bars set up with unique drinks and desserts to try. The food stations hold their own as well, offering creative pairings. There are even Kombucha stations for the #healthy partiers.
