From Bonn to Vienna - Beethoven's life in 4 minutes!

Ludwig van Beethoven's biography: The turbulent life of a child prodigy, musical genius, a deaf man. The most important moments, told by Sergej Prokofjew's grandson. The English composer and DJ Gabriel Prokofiev visits the Beethovenhaus in Bonn and sets off on a search for Beethoven's roots.

Beethoven lived from 1770 to 1827 and was already hard of hearing as a young man. In 1823 Beethoven wrote his 9th symphony completely deaf. Beethoven was no longer able to hear the stormy applause at the premiere of his 9th Symphony on May 7, 1824 in Vienna.

Nevertheless, Beethoven's Ninth became more influential than almost any other work in music history. Gabriel Prokofiev composed an electronic remix of Beethoven's 9th Symphony. For Prokofiev, Beethoven brought drama to classical music with his masterpieces.
