There was a fight between current Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami and Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam to be the CM face for next year's state elections. As per sources, two issues were discussed in the meeting - first, on contesting elections with BJP alliance, second, on deciding the Party's CM candidate.

However, the ruling AIADMK will announce its chief ministerial face on Wednesday. Sources have told India Today that an agreement has reached on power sharing between OPS and EPS.
