Waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) is becoming a major threat to the whole world. Its toxic emissions are mixed with virgin soil and air and causing harmful effects to the entire world either directly or indirectly. Direct impacts include the release of acids, toxic compounds including heavy metals, carcinogenic chemicals and indirect effects such as biomagnification of heavy metals
Electronic waste (ilektronik kachara) or e-waste describes discarded electrical or electronic devices. Used electronics destined for refurbishment, reuse, resale, salvage recycling through material recovery, or disposal are also considered e-waste. Informal processing of e-waste in developing countries can lead to adverse human health effects and environmental pollution.

As a part of the e-Content Development programme contacted by CMS college, Kottayam more than 70 e-learning content was prepared. In this e-content workshop Dr Meera Mohan, assistant Professor created this effective, informative e-content/e-learning content/video lesson.
