Описание к видео Browning GoldeGolden Eagle Mark III with wood case, 40 channel PLL and dual freq counters

A modified (not by me) Browning Golden Eagle Mark III 3 tube type classic vintage CB radio. It has a non factory custom wood case and has been modded. The transmitter has a modern 40 channel + digital PLL circuit in the transmitter, plus the VFO switch will take you up 40 or down 40. The LED channel readout won't reflect this but the added external counter will. The Transmitter has an RCA external count out jack that the PDC256 counter plugs to. The PDC256 has a programmable offfset and was set to the tx counter output and reads very well except though the radio is on frequency rock solid, the brand new counter drifts a little as it warms up. The other mod is that the Power switch also has a variable power control, deadkey is variable form 1/2 to 7 watts. It swings to 13 rms and 30 peak. On the receiver, the Tuning switch is normal on CB, will take you up 32 channels or 320khz on HF and down 320khz on the XTL position. The external counter on the receiver (thru the rca jack) will not reflect the 32 up or down on its readout, so 320khz +/- will have to be added or subtracted when you hit the switch. Interesting in that the used PDC256 counter on the receiver does not drift. I'm hoping the new one breaks in and stops drifting. Other than the added RCA outs for the counters, dial a watt, PLL and extra channels, this radio is stock and works as it should. Very nice sounding short ping but it does have a weird unkey ping or squeal noise when you unkey. I think this may be do to many of the capacitors where replaced with higher values (not by me) and those higher values are causing the unkey feedback. Great transmit and receive, spot on freq with the PLL, SSB works, everything works. Radio is in good shape, but has a scratch or two here and there. This is going right on top of my main everyday favorite radio the Nomad PLL moded Mark 4 radio. Many think the Mark 3 is the best CB radio ever made and this is one of the best working Mark 3's I have seen.
