Description: This presentation will highlight the clinical and interprofessional strategies utilized by an interprofessional team consisting of social workers, an abolitionist community activist, and a peer specialist in the development and implementation of a pilot diversion intervention for emerging adults charged with felony gun possession in Philadelphia. Illustrated by examples from our practice, we will explore concepts of abolition, harm-reduction, interprofessional collaboration within the criminal legal system, group processes, and relational case management. The presentation will highlight the multimodal, multidisciplinary, and multilevel nature of the intervention, training participants in the protocol.
