Our Bloodhound tracking in really windy conditions. Trail was 1 mile long and 45 minutes old. Had trouble in certain places as wind turbines on the land.Have found out since after speaking to a wind turbine engineer that in high wind the blades produce a shock wave which disperses the scent hence a struggling dog. Even in a light wind apparently the blades still pulse a shock wave which can then have a zig zagging effect on the scent which is evident when dog is working the line.
