While many politicians, historians and intellectuals oppose changing the face of Lutyens Delhi under the Central Vista Redevelopment, the project couldn’t have come at a better time. The surging population not only needs better representation but also efficient governance and swift development. But is Central Vista a beginning to the glorious Indian architectural chapter or a climax to the decade-old run of the Modi government?
