This is the first of a short series of videos about building a ceremonial wine box for my sister and her husband's wedding. For the box I selected a live edge flitch of cherry from Willard Brothers in NJ and brass hardware.

In this video I go over visualizing your project in the lumber at the yard, layout, and milling your project pieces with hand saws.

Project overview: The box will be made entirely with hand tools and incorporates planed moulding, raised panels, full blind and half blind dovetails with different tail lengths all in the same joint (what was I thinking??), half mortised lock, and mortised hinges.
