Most people don't realize that there are
two types of rhinoplasty, open versus
scarless rhinoplasty. Open rhinoplasty is
the traditional method 99% of surgeons use.
Open rhinoplasty uses an external
cut at the base of the nose inflicting a
scar permanently. This cut allows the
surgeon to open the soft tissue envelope
and visualize all the structures of the
nose. While necessary for reconstructive
and some revision, it's totally
unnecessary for a primary cosmetic
rhinoplasty. Closed scarless rhinoplasty is
a time-tested tradition where the
surgeon makes all the incisions inside
the nose, with no external cuts or scars.
The same maneuvers can be performed to
sculpt the shape of the nose without any
external cuts or scars. This is a
preferred choice by celebrities,
actresses, models, and athletes for nose
reshaping and nasal breathing surgery.
The Scarless Nose Institute of Beverly
Hills only performs scarless closed
rhinoplasty as one hundred percent of
our surgical practice by Dr. Dugar.
