- Most English Bible translations do not use God’s Holy Name due to one reason or another.
- Many use the word LORD (capital letters) for יהוה (YHWH in the original Hebrew text, which is pronounced Yahweh or Yahwah).
- Some use Jehovah.
- The New Living Translation uses Yahweh but not everywhere.
- The Shem Qadosh Version (Hebrew for Holy Name Version) does not transliterate the name; it retains the name as יהוה.

God revealed His Name to Moses in Exodus 3:14-15

14) God replied to Moses, "I Am Who I Am. Say this to the people of Israel: I Am has sent me to you."
15) God also said to Moses, "Say this to the people of Israel: Yahweh, the God of your ancestors--the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob--has sent me to you. This is my eternal name, my name to remember for all generations.
The Shem Qadosh Version retains the Name as it is written in Hebrew (Aramaic).
