Aspic. People from the past seem to have liked it (tolerated it) but it's not a thing anymore. I'm in a quest to understand why. I apparently haven't figured this out yet even though I've made two aspic dishes before. But third time's a charm! Tomato Aspic from The Joy of Cooking cookbook... and throw in some boiled salad dressing in there while you're at it. Of course a tomato aspic dish is not complete without the perfect vintage mould. So I subject you to a thrift store field trip and haul. Buckle up, this is a bumpy ride!
