Dr. Richard Solomon presents "America's Grand Strategy in the 21st Century?" at the Wyoming Goes Global Conference at University of Wyoming. He was joined for Q&A by Ambassador Marc Wall, Senior Visiting Scholar in Global Studies. Dr. Solomon's is the Senior Fellow at Rand Corporation; former President United States Institute of Peace (1993-2012), U.S. Ambassador to the Philippines, and Assistant Secretary for East Asian and Pacific Affairs (1989-1992).

The conference marked the launching of UW's new Center for Global Studies.
The purpose of the Center for Global Studies (CGS) is to advance the University of Wyoming to the next level of excellence in internationally-focused research and partnerships to address complex global problems. Its mission is to build leadership, excellence, and depth in global and comparative scholarship and learning for the benefit of students, faculty, the state of Wyoming, and the broader national/international community. This conference formally launches the Center with a public keynote talk followed by day-long activities highlighting faculty and graduate student international research from across campus and roundtable discussions on global career options featuring distinguished alumni and international studies professionals.
