DJ Daz was the man which got me into the rave scene back in 1990/91 along with DJ Rhythm, Embee, Jess, M A double T, Just Jones, Philly K, Sphinx, Red and Sur Vibes when I first tuned into Cyndicut 100.4FM in my bedroom in Seabrooke Rise, Grays.

Daz was always my favourite DJ, and he went onto being Undercover Agent / MTS, running Splash Records and producing some of the tracks which defined the Jungle Drum & Bass scene in the mid to late 90s, including 'Babylon', 'Dub Plate Circles', 'Rougher Pt.3' and 'Oh Gosh'

Daz was born in Grays, Essex in 1969. Undercover Agent aka (Daz, Splash), has a number of classic releases on Juice and Splash, Deejay Recordings, Sub Base, IQ Done, remixes for True Playaz ,Tommy Boy, East'side, Dropping Science and Lifting spirit's.

He first started DJing in 1983 doing house party's on cassette decks amazingly and then moved onto his first set of technic 1200's in 1987 playing hip hop, acid house, hardcore and then jungle.
By 1989 Daz was well and truly hooked and Djing wasn't enough so he and a few friends decided to start their own pirate radio station and "Cyndicut Fm" was born.

Throughout the 90's Cyndicut had a lot of the biggest names around playing regular sets and inspiring the youth of Thurrock to become Dj's and Producers also.by 1994 Splash Records was dropping dub after dub to smash the dance floor Daz's biggest track to date is Babylon and his claim to fame is the mighty Dub Plate Circle which was featured in the Warner Brothers film 187"

His biggest music influences as a teen were Grand Master Flash and Jah Shaka and his music has had support from Andy c, Grooverider, Randall, Ray Keith, Hype, Brockie and the list goes on and on…..

Cyndicut FM was an Essex pirate radio station that started broadcasting in the late ’80s, covering South Essex, North Kent, and East London. Originally pushing acid house and hardcore on 100.4 FM (later 101 FM, 101.25 FM, and 97.8 FM), the station evolved with the underground — riding the wave from hardcore to jungle and then into drum & bass.

Cyndicut’s roster was packed with talent, featuring names like Andy C, DJ Vibes, Magistrate, Embee, MATT, Just Jones, Philly K, Jess, Red One, Sphinx, TJ, DJ Destruction, Muss, Hashbrown, Hologram, Tag, Rhythm, and DJ DAZ aka Splash / Undercover Agent of Splash and Juice Records — plus countless other DJs, MCs, and producers who shaped the UK rave sound. Known for upfront dubplates, raw mixes, and pirate attitude, Cyndicut FM was a pillar of the South East’s underground music culture.
