Astro Bot Controller Unboxing (Limited Edition DualSense)

Today, we're unboxing the brand-new Astro Bot PS5 DualSense controller, and spoiler alert—it might just be my new favorite! The box itself is stunning, with a 3D-printed image of the controller that lets you feel each button and joystick. As we dive into the unboxing, there’s even a cute little Astro Bot Easter egg inside the packaging!

The controller design is impressive, with glossy blue metallic handles and blue icons on the buttons that add a cool aesthetic. The white joysticks look sleek but might get dirty quickly, so you’ll want to keep those snacks away while gaming! The blue eyes on the touchpad are a nice touch, though they don’t light up. And on the back, there's a subtle Astro Bot logo that ties the whole design together.

About Astros Playroom:
Astro's Playroom is a platform video game developed by Japan Studio's Team Asobi division and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for the PlayStation 5.[1][2] A sequel to Astro Bot Rescue Mission, the game comes pre-installed on every console, serving additionally as a free tech demo for the DualSense controller.[3][4]

The game was announced on 11 June 2020 at the PlayStation 5 reveal event.[5] It was released on 12 November 2020.

Alongside Demon's Souls, Astro's Playroom was the final game released by Japan Studio before their dissolution in April 2021. Team Asobi was formally spun off into an independent studio within Sony's PlayStation Studios in June 2021.


Astro Bot is an upcoming platform game for the PlayStation 5 by Team Asobi and will be published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It is a sequel to the 2020 game Astro's Playroom, and is the third game in the Astro Bot series. The game is scheduled for release on September 6, 2024.
