In this video, Dr. Deepak Subramanian, a renowned gastro care specialist explains about Hiatus hernia. It is caused by laxing of the sphincter muscles of the stomach connected to the esophagus or the food canal.

Continuous laxing of these muscles leads to Gastro esophagus disease. When this happens, the stomach is pushed upwards, towards the esophagus or food canal. This is medically termed Hiatus Hernia.

Few noticeable symptoms of Hiatus hernia include Recurrent bulging, Heartburns, Food regurgitation, and throat pain after waking up in the mornings. It is also known as reflux disease.
