The Villages Florida, Day in Dunnellon: Blue Run & Swampy's

Dunnellon Florida is a 40-45 minute drive from The Villages. Dunnellon is steep in history being a boomtown for the phosphate mining industry and its access to two major rivers. Today it hosts the Rainbow River aquatic preserve which is enjoyed by kayakers and paddle boarders. Blue Run Park is a launch point for these activities. The park also provides access to the some great hiking and bike trails. This video highlights biking the trails and is followed by lunch at Swampy's Bar & Grill.

Charlie and Jennifer Pryde have lived in The Villages for one year and in Central Florida for fifteen years. Our main activities in The Villages are biking, fitness parks, pickle ball, platform tennis, golf and swimming. We love to travel throughout Florida, the United States and internationally.
