After spending over 15 years abroad, much of it in China, I discuss some of the challenges of living overseas.

In this video I discuss some of the things people should consider when thinking about the big move, including:
-the difficulties in obtaining permanent residency (especially in China),
-financial implications of working abroad, and
-the potential impact on career opportunities upon returning home.

I also discuss whether teaching English overseas is a viable long-term career choice and give some of my own thoughts on the pros and cons of the expatriate life.

Finally, I talk about the idea of moving to China, especially in the face of the changing job market and real estate trends in China.
