The Delhi Police has dismantled a major terror module linked to the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), arresting eight suspects across Tamil Nadu and West Bengal. The investigation was triggered by the appearance of 'Free Kashmir' posters at various locations in the national capital. Among those apprehended are six Bangladeshi nationals who were allegedly residing in India using forged Aadhaar cards. Authorities recovered 16 SIM cards and multiple mobile phones from the accused, who are currently being brought to Delhi for further interrogation. The module's handler, identified as a Kashmiri individual trained in Pakistan, is reportedly operating from Bangladesh. Intelligence inputs suggest the group was planning strikes on high-profile targets, including the Red Fort and other religious sites. The suspects were also found to be posting pro-Pakistan content on social media. This coordinated operation by the Delhi Police Special Cell has successfully thwarted a potential large-scale terror plot involving cross-border coordination between handlers in Bangladesh and Pakistan.
