Update: I was completely wrong about a couple things. The mark is incorrect: the reflected damage is not projectile tagged. The 'avoid' I observed was from sentinel spell block, not splintering avoidance. The pen support on tornado doesn't appear to apply to the reflected damage in my testing, and I suspect the reflect might not even work with character-wide ele penetration. My first foray into build showcasing/video editing, since this interaction is just too cool not to share! I love creating wacky (and usually far less functional) builds, and I'd managed to stumble across this interaction a couple leagues ago. I finally realized black zenith was a powerful combo as I was planning for Lake of Kalandra launch, and came up with this.

Not mentioned in the video, but this build/interaction is also levelling friendly! I levelled with it starting at level 34 when you can equip the tornado gem (and bought a vaal fireball gem), getting into white maps easily even with none of the uniques.
