The idea is to use Ableton to improve your microphone audio before broadcasting to programs (Zoom, OBS, etc.). This video is for those who wants to use the ASIO driver in Ableton Live without using an actual interface. You can also do this using the MME/DirectX driver (which is easier) but as you probably know, there are crackling issues that does not seem to have a fix. The ASIO driver also provides the lowest latency in audio processing.
