Al-Assad's First Statement Since Fleeing Syria & Trump Speaks With Netanyahu | W News 12/16/24

In this episode of W News presented by Leigh Ann Gerrans, we report on the former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s statement, which is the first time he has publicly spoken out since he left Syria amidst an uprising. He said Russia had forced him to evacuate and wished that he could continue to fight, concluding his statement by saying he wishes for Syria to be free once again. We’ll also report on US President-elect Donald Trump meeting up with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to discuss the Gaza hostages as well as the situation in Syria.
